I'm definitely open for suggestions on this.  I feel like I might not be getting my point across very well, so any ideas on how to do that better would be great.

We seem to have created a either/or, this way or that way path for boys and girls based on toys.  I think the stereotypes of gender limit us and hold us back.  The idea that boys like blue and superheros and girls like pink and princesses isn't biological; its completely made up.  In the 1920s these colors were actually reversed.  They explained this by saying, "The generally accepted rule is pink for the boys, and blue for the girls. The reason is that pink , being a more decided and stronger color, is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl."  This proves that these expectations of gender are social constructs.
